I remember being at college and reading this and being like, “Ugh, British poets, stop trying to sound like you’re soooooo smart and awesome when all you’re doing is trying to talk her out of her pants.” Like this is essentially just a “C’mooooooooooooon let’s do it…. I’m really horny” but with big words. NOT a fan of this poem objectively.
Then you give me Tom being all breathy in my ear and I’m like, “THIS IS LIQUID GOLD. THIS IS THE BEST THING I’VE EVER HEARD. LET’S LISTEN A MILLION TIMES.”
